ANANG who? Better known as Indonesian singer Krisdayanti’s ex-beau, Anang Hermansyah – who was in town last week for the Suria Elektra show – wants to make it on his own now.

And it looks like he is doing pretty well.

The 40-year-old is a judge on the third season of Indonesian Idol, along with big names like Erwin Gutawa and Agnes Monica.

He split with Krisdayanti last year after 13 years of marriage, allegedly due to her extra-marital affairs.

This Sunday marks Anang’s ‘first Valentine’s Day alone’ since the split.

Said Anang: ‘I think I will spend it with my children.’

The singer-musician has two children – Titania Aurelie Hermansyah, 11, and Azriel Akbar Hermansyah, 9 – with Krisdayanti.

But netizens have been speculating that Anang is not as ‘alone’ as he claims to be. He has been linked to a Malaysian artiste, an Indonesian artiste and even a Singaporean artiste who’s said to be much older.

When asked who these women were, Anang expressed surprise.

He said: ‘If you know who, please tell me. I do not know who they are.’

The only mention of a woman was when he told The New Paper about his upcoming duet with a female singer.

He declined to reveal more, but let on that they knew each other just for two months so they ‘cannot possibly get married to each other’.

And what is he looking for in a wife?

He said: ‘She must lead a life that is not just material but spiritual as well. She must be a friend to my kids. I would not expect her to be their mother as it would be too complicated and confusing for them.’

Also, she must be more ‘cantik’ (beautiful in Malay) than his ex-wife. But he quickly added: ‘On the outside, and also on the inside.’
