Her Slip-Up Sure Didn’t Fall Flat
Who was where, and doing what? Here’s a round-up of the latest celebrity sightings in the region and Hollywood
Her slip-up sure didn’t fall flat
November 28, 2009
WHO: Kate Hudson, 30
WHERE: Los Angeles
WHAT: Jennifer Lopez and Adam Lambert weren’t the only stars making slip-ups at the recent American Music Awards.
Actress Kate Hudson narrowly escaped a wardrobe malfunction onstage when she leaned forward and her low-cut vintage Versace metallic dress went with her while introducing the Black Eyed Peas alongside her Nine co-star Nicole Kidman, reported New York Daily News.
But she quickly fiddled with her plunging neckline, which drew numerous giggles from the audience.
Actor Marlon Wayans Twittered right after: ‘(Kate) is pretty but she got a chest like me in White Chicks.’
Hudson – whose bust was digitally enhanced for the Fool’s Gold movie poster last year – once told InStyle magazine: ‘Maybe the reason I don’t have a problem with nudity is that since I have such small breasts I never feel that they are gratuitous.’
She’s a rising star – make no Bones about it
WHO: Saoirse Ronan, 15
WHERE: London
WHAT: Notch up another career highlight for teen Irish actress Ronan, who was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar a few years ago for Atonement.
She met Prince Charles and his wife Camilla the Duchess of Cornwall at the wet and windswept world premiere of her new movie The Lovely Bones, based on the acclaimed best-selling novel by Alice Sebold.
Despite admitting it was ‘nerve-racking’ making such a high-profile movie, Ronan looked far from a bundle of nerves in her chic grey chiffon dress and statement ankle boots.
The royals, who were at Leicester Square for the Royal Film Performance screening, later went into the cinema to chat with Ronan, actress Susan Sarandon and director Peter Jackson.
‘Tis the season to be Holly
WHO: Holly Madison, 30
WHERE: Las Vegas
WHAT: The model-turned-reality TVstar – who’s better known as Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner’s ex-girlfriend – got into the holiday spirit in the best way possible.
She dished out pies and served dessert to needy students and seniors for an early Thanksgiving meal at Sin City’s Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts.
Gobble, gobble!
And we don’t mean the turkey.
